Evanston Regional Hospital named as a top 100 Rural and community hospital

TopEvanston, WY (Feb. 15, 2022) — Evanston Regional Hospital, a Quorum Health affiliate, has been recognized as a Top 100 Rural and Community Hospital for the third consecutive year. Compiled by The Chartis Center for Rural Health, this annual recognition program honors outstanding performance among the nation’s rural hospitals based on the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX results.

“It takes the whole team to earn this type of recognition, and I could not be more proud of the wonderful team at Evanston Regional,” said Cheri L. Willard, CEO of Evanston Regional Hospital. “The past few years have been challenging, but we have continually strived to provide high-quality services and care to our patients. Earning this recognition for the third consecutive year validates the hard work and deep commitment of our entire team.

“Despite unprecedented adversity, rural providers continue to display resiliency and a steadfast commitment to their communities,” said Michael Topchik, National Leader, The Chartis Center for Rural Health. “Honoring the Top 100 is one of the high points of our year. We are delighted to recognize the exceptional performance and innovation of this year’s recipients, particularly in light of the extraordinary challenges facing America’s rural health safety net.”

The Chartis Center used the Hospital Strength Index to name hospitals. According to Chartis, the Index utilizes publicly available data and assesses performance in eight areas: inpatient market share, outpatient market share, quality, outcomes, patient perspective, cost, charge, and financial efficiency.
